His first exhibition realizes it in 1974 in Nayarit. Since this year he has exhibited in countless museums and galleries in the country and abroad, in places such as: Palm Springs in California where he lives for long periods, Lima, Peru, Havana, Cuba, Miami, Florida, among others. Cora has 150 individual and collective exhibitions. He is is internationally recognized.
Cora likes to choose a theme and work by series, because that way he can lengthen it and do it in different techniques and colors. Some of her subjects have been Miss Tecuala, women from the tropics, still lifes, bathers and interiors. His series "Natura" began in 2002 as a recognition to the woman, in this case his wife Mary, but also because he felt the need to do other things, although in the same style of neofiguration.
The flowers of Cora, however, are invented. They come out of nature, but the artist uses the name to create something new as in the artwork named fragmented Gardenias. This happens successively with an orchid, a tulip or a magnolia. He usually combines several techniques in a single painting only to see what result he gives oil over the acrylic and top with enamel. Notes: "I liked it a lot because the blasting, the stains, are different. It also dries differently."
Since 1999, in his hometown, there is the Vladimir Cora Museum, where he exhibits his private collection with artwork by Rufino Tamayo, Sergio Hernández, Sebastián, Francisco Toledo, Manuel Felguérez, the brothers Castro Leñero, Jazzamoart, Vicente Rojo, Gabriel Macotela and others. Rufino Tamayo said of Vladimir Cora that "I would receive from my hands the courier to continue the race that I started a long time ago".
"To Cora, what is of Cora." (Luis Carlos Emerich)
